Part of the Concorde range of horseshoes the Concorde Race Plate Wedge has all the features of the Concorde shoe but with a wedged heel.
The wedge shoe has the shape of a typical horseshoe but instead of being one thickness the back of the shoe is higher to make a wedge. The angle of the wedge gradually reduces from the back to the front of the shoe so it is only the heel that is more elevated.
The degree of elevation varies depending on the needs of the horse for this type of shoe.
The Concorde Aluminium Race Plate comes with a two degree elevation in a hind shoe. The aluminium shoe is toe clipped.
Also available in 2 degree wedge front and 3 degree wedge hind.
