Stirrup leathers are an essential when horse riding. Stirrup leathers allow the rider to ride with stirrups, which help the rider keep their balance and maintain control in the saddle, particularly when you are learning to ride. Correctly sized stirrup leathers should allow you to make adjustments slightly either way (shorter and longer) so you can have correctly sized stirrups depending on the discipline you are participating in.
