Stable rugs and sheets come in handy when horses need extra warmth or cover. As the name suggests, many horses wear these rugs when they're indoors and not necessarily in need of a waterproof turnout. These rugs and sheets provide a great lightweight alternative to a turnout and are available in varying warmth levels.

Typically a stable rug contains polyfill to give it its warmth. Quilting styles help keep the polyfill in place and stop it from clumping.

As these stable rugs are not waterproof they can't be used outdoors to protect from rain. However these rugs are ideal to be used beneath a turnout to give paddocked horses in cool conditions a temperature boost.
